THE SUN AND THE WIND
Once the sun and the wind were quarreling
over who was the stronger of the two.Suddenly they saw a traveller coming down the road.
"I see a way to decide our dispute" said the sun."whichever of us can make that men take off his coat shall be the stronger. you begin."
The wind was boastful. He began to blow an icy blast as hard as he could. But the harder he blew the more closely did the man his coat around him. At last the wind had to give up his hope.
Then it was the turn of the sun. He come out and shone in all his glory upon the man.
The man felt the heat. He found it too hot to walk with the Coat on. He put off his coat. The sun won the test.
MORAL OF THE STORY: PERSUASION IS BETTER THAN FORCE .
THE GRASSHOPPER AND THE ANT
It was winter.A grasshopper who had always been happy was now hungry. He had no food.He hopped to an ant who was drawing grains in winter sun. "I am dying from hunger", said the grasshopper with folded wings,"will you please give me a few grains of corn?"
"Why did you not save for winter?" said the ant, "what did you do during summer?"
" I was too busy", said the grasshopper,
"All day I sang."
" Now dance", said the angry ant.
Moral of the story: SAVE IN SUMMER OR
SUFFER IN WINTER.
THE CAT AND THE MICE
Many mice live in a house. They are doing a lot of harm to the house. The master was mach annoyed and made a plan to get rid of them. He brought a cat to kill the Rats.
The mics we're in great difficulty. They could not move freely as before. They held a meeting to discuss the matter. Many plans were discussed and dismissed.
At last young mouse stood up to speak." I have a good plan for your consideration ",
Said the little mouse," let us tie a bell round the cat's neak. When ever he comes, the bell will ring and we will be warmed."
The plant appears to be acceptable. All the mics thanked the young mouse for his good plan.
At this time and old man stood up."the plan is good Inddeed!"said the old mouse,
"But I have one question to put to the young mouse:who will bell the cat?"
MORAL OF THE STORY: 1) IT IS EASY TO SAY BUT DEFFIDIFF TO DO.
2) EASIER SAID THAN DONE.
