THE CROW AND THE PITCHER

it was summer . A crow was thirsty. He f hear and there in search of water .

At last the crow,too thirsty to caw ,came upon a pitcher.the Crow flew on to the pitcher and saw a little water left in it . but he was unable to reach far enough down to get at it .he tried to break the jar, next to over turn it.but his strength was not equal to the task."how can I drink water?"said the crow to himself.

Suddenly a plan came to the mind of the clever crow. He saw some stones nearby. He brought them in his beak and dropped dam into the jar one by one. The water soon reached the top. The crew was able to drink at ease and to his fill. he flew away happily.

THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE

Once a hare met a tortoise. The hare laughed at the slow pace of the tortoise. He made fun of that tortoise's steps. "Enough of your boasting", said the tortoise ,"I may be slow but I am steady. Let us get on with race". The hare accept the race with a smile. He was sure of winning the race. The race was on one fine morning. The hare run first. He was Much ahead of the tortoise.he stop to wait for the tortoise to come along. He waited long and lay down to rest. He soon fell asleep.

. But the tortoise moved on and on steadliy without pause. He passed the sleeping here and neared the goal. The hare suddenly woke up and saw the tortoise ahead of him.He started running as fast as he could. But he was too late to save the race. The tortoise had touched the line.
